lisinopril caused a debilitating cough in about 11% of people, mostly women. if you get a cough when you'r eon lisinopril, you should assume that it's being caused by the drug. there is no need to blame sinuses or allergies. doctors know this.
11% is a high number of people to suffer this side effects (it's probably actually a higher number but this is the % that the drug company will admit to)
the cough is so severe that it is the main reason that people stop taking the drug. i stopped because after only 3 days on 5 mg, it caused an unsafe spike in my serum potassium levels.
i've read of people who coughed so hard, they broke a rib!
