33 year old, 125lb female with cholesterol of 234. I was put on Simvastatin 40mg, which I took fot 3 night only. All hell broke loose, insomnia, hands are numb, severe joint/back pain, extreme weakness... The thing is, I took it for 3 nights & realized it wasn't for me. I've been off of it for 3 weeks, but the symptoms still persist, rendering me pretty much dead.... I was told by a few that putting me on 40 mg to start off probably did the job... Three week of living hell & my primary physician don't have answers for me!

You should have never been given this medication, especially at only 33. What was your doctor thinking? Try taking some COQ10, at least 100mg a day. L-Carnitine has been recommended by some, but I don't know the dosage. Doctors don't have any answers for this. They just write prescriptions. I have lost all trust in most doctors. Never take another statin and don't worry about your cholesterol numbers. Go to Dr. Graveline's website and learn more. I wish you well.

There is nothing wrong with a cholesterol of 234. Its a perfectly healthy number. But the medical industry wants you to think anything over 200 is "bad". Ita all about money. They sel the lab tests, the doctor visit, and the drugs- all for a made up disease. Then people fall sick on the drugs.
