Getting Mirena out on Monday! I got mine put in at my six week check up following the birth of my son in December 08. Thought it was wonderful. Loved it, thought it was going to be great, and it was for about six weeks...now I am so tired, but don't sleep. I walk around in a fog unable to focus. Stopped losing and actually gained weight, headaches, depression, weepy, zero sex drive, blurry vision- you name it, I have it (and it's NOT PPD!) I was a very healthy, HAPPY person. I did my research before getting it, and thought it would be the best BC for me (as did my doctor). WE WERE WRONG!!! I have talked with two friends who also have Mirena. They are also suffering with "side effects" and are planning to have it removed. I can't wait until Monday...looking forward to getting ME back!
