I had cellulitis in my face and was hospitalized for 8 days. I was given levaquin through iv during my entire hospital stay. Then 8 months of levaquin at home. This was 2 years ago. I periodically took it at other times in the past year. I have been in and out of the hospital with severe chest pains, chronic pain in my arms and legs. Sometimes I lose total feeling in my left arm. The top of my left foot feels like a rubber band is wrapped around it even when barefooted. I feel like something is pushing on the left side of my throat choaking me. I have never felt pain like this before and no doctor can seem to diagnose this. Although 1 orthopedic doctor said I had really severe tendonitis in my shoulder and leg. When I mention the use of levaquin they act like they never heard of these side affects. I can hardly walk or stand for extended periods. I have horrible nighmares and can only sleep about 3-4 hours a night. My left breast and deep inside my chest are so severely painful I cannot stand anything to touch me. I pretty much feel worthless as a human being. I went to Walgreens to get a printout of all the meds I have had filled for the past 3 years and they provided me with one. However, there were absolutely no listings of levaquin on this printout. I thought how odd since I only use Walgreens for prescriptions. They tried to act real stupid when I asked about this. So I called my insurance company and they provided me a list of all prescriptions for the last 3 years. Wow, only 13 times did I get levaquin filled at Walgreens. If there is anything out there that can cure this damage I desperately could use it. Right now I won't take any antibiotics and just live on prayer.
