Hi I was put on Amlodopine for HBP some six weeks ago - that gave me headaches almost immediately, very flushed cheeks and extreme lethargy. Three weeks ago changed to Lisinopril 5mg and now I feel very nauseous and a faster heart-beart plus skipped and extra beats. GP says it is not the medication and has now put me on Betablockers - it helps as even when I get anxious about my symptoms at least my heart rate does not go up. Trouble is we are damned if we take these drugs and damned if we dont. regards Anne

I had the high pulse and yes my inside shaking. I did go to the cardio Dr. and had a stress test. Everything was great. Yesterday was the LAST Day. Im not taking that medication today. My bp is not that high 130/80 and that sometimes during the day. Not always sometimes lower. I will continue to take the hctz, exercise more and watch my sodium intake. Try to limit the caffeine.

I took lisinipril for 3 months and I start getting axienty, Irratability, restlessness, waking after just a few hours a night and also felt like I wanted to scream at everyone and every thing... Went off the Lisinipril and almost back to normal after 3 weeks... still feeling a little bit of anxiety..Lisinipril is nasty stuff.. I couldn't get my doctors to believe me of course but will die of a heart attack before I go back on that nasty pill..Bad stuff !!!!!
