Hi, i got the mirena put in almost two years ago and I havn't had any problems. Now at first I thought It was causing me problems but It was in my head, after all it's kinda weird to have something like that in you at first. I have also heard of people just not being able to deal with an IUD/IUC. The spotting will go away and mirena doesn't release any horomes into your blood stream on into your uterus, it uses less than a birth control pill because it doesn't go threw your blood stream. I also take celexa for a panic disorder, I have 3 small children and my husband works away from home - I've been overwhelmed and on it short-term and It doesn't make it worse for me. Mirena is the best birth control I ever taken.I can't take any bc with a high dose of hormones or I'll be in the hospital it makes my blood pressure sky-rocket. I hope this helps...just push threw any weird feelings aside and think about something else I know plenty of people who use mirena it is safe. I'm 23 by the way.
