Thanks and Good Luck
Advair and Singulair have absolutely nothing in common other than they both are used for the treatment of asthma. Advair is a combination medication of corticosteroids (prevents/reduces inflammation in the bronchioles) and a long acting beta agonist (which is essentially like a long acting albuterol).
Singulair is an IGE inhibitor and works in a totally different way by interferring with the chemical process of asthma. There really is no way your side effects can be tied equally to these two medications. Your psychological symptoms certainly can be tied to singulair but you may want to see a neurologist or orthopedic special regarding your muscle pain - it almost sounds like you have some cervical disc issues -but I'm not a doctor and am only suggesting you see a specialist. Bravo for your dr. having your heart checked out - it was the right thing to do but you're not done yet! And the "air" medications are you call them are crucial if you have asthma and are having troubles breathing. Who knows, maybe you really don't have asthma (have you had spirometry testing done to confirm it?) but see a specialist. Good luck!
