I was diagnosis with Endo last year, and had gone under surgery to remove the tissues and emptied one of my ovaries. After the surgery, my ob-gyn doctor told me that I am going to be treated with Lupron for six months, 3.75mg short, once a month.
I had no problem with the first short, however after I got my second shorts, two or three weeks after, I started to experience the menopause alike. Not only that, I also developed a severe side effects i.e. having migraine at least three times a week, joins pain, lost of memory, nervousness and heart palpitation while I was asleep. However, I did continue and had my third shorts, but I woke up the next morning and found myself cannot get out of the bed because the severe pain at joins area. I CANNOT walk for almost a week, and that was the last shorts of the Lupron for me (I called it off; by the way, I am a healthy and very active women, 29 yrs old).
It has been about four months now since I had my last short. It took me about two or three months after the last one to get completely over the side effects.
Now, I started to feel that the Endo has coming back again (severe pain on the lover right pelvic, frequently urinate). I am going back to see my ob-gyn next Friday.
I would never suggest anyone to use the Lupron as a treatment for Endo. It’s side effects are very nasty.

I am 28 and just had surgery for endometriosis in July of this year, much to no avail. I still have extremely erratic bleeding and terrible pelvic pain. My doctor just recommended Lupron for me for at least six months -maybe longer. I think I'm the only woman in the world that doesn't care about my fertility. I have never wanted kids and as I get older, my opinion on this has gotten stronger. So that's taken care of. I trust my doctor since he has been so helpful and dead-on with my symptoms thus far. I feel like he actually listens to me. However, everything I have read about Lupron (including these two posts) has completely changed my mind. Luckily, my insurance company is dragging it's feet with this or I would have started it already. Has anyone ever had any luck with Lupron?! How on Earth did the FDA ever approve this medication for endo treatment. Thank you so very much for sharing your experiences. They are eye opening. My heart is with you ladies and I hope we can all find some relief from this horrible disease while keeping our goals (children or not) and our health in mind.
