Wow, thanks for this posting. I thought it was carpal tunnel because I've been working at a desk for years. I never would have linked the two. My wrists have been hurting and my arms too when I twist my wrist a certain way. I had the acne problem, low sex drive, and sporadic bleeding and spotting when I first got it. I thought I wasn't drinking enough water. I had to keep my hair off my face too because it made the acne worse. I've had my Mirena for over 2 years now. Most of the other side effects have stopped, but now I have headaches and I cramp more severely when I ovulate. I'm also considering having it removed. I've gained 40 pounds!

YES!!!!!!! I have had horrible wrist pain to where i cant even out put any weight on it. i see a chiropractor and he seemed to think it is carpel tunnel but i have other joint point also. i have been driving myself crazy thinking all kinds of thoughts of what could be wrong with me.

yes yes! i had bad wrist pain 4 weeks after insertion also severe knee pain. i was reffered to a specailist who suspected lupus or arthritis, i had millions of blood tests which only showed elevated esr levels (an inflamatory indicator) i had my mirena removed about 8 weeks ago and week by week the joint pain is getting better and better, my wrists barely hurt at all now and my knees only ache a bit when i stay in the same position too long. the blood test was repeated recently and the esr level ahd dropped down to almost normal. all down to mirena?? i think so!!!!!!!!!! get it out, the pain isnt worth it. best wishes.

I also hav joint pain.My right side.Neck,shoulder an wrist.I have been like this for 3 1/2 years,about the same time I got the Mirena put in. I have done so many tests,but everything looks normal.I Can`t work.I `m going crazy about it.Mabye IO should try to take it out then
