(42 year old male) Started taking Lisinopril June 2005. These are the symptoms I have experienced: Short term memory loss, loss of concentration, unable to complete sentences, feeling of being cold, and the biggest problem... Testosterone fell to 174. Every guy knows what happens when that hormone drops. Got off Lisinopril late April and Testosterone has climbed back to 207 in that short time. I'm hoping to have at least low Testosterone instead of rock bottom Testoserone in the next few months. Any man reading this should have their Testosterone checked before taking and compare the numbers 1 year later. Maybe this is an an anomaly. I'm on a diuretic now and hope to get this drug out of my system.
I have been on Lisinopril/HCT for 2 weeks and about 3 days after taking it --started having the same dough headed, confusion symptoms you describe along with a cough-especially a night. The thinking process symptoms came on on about 4 hours after taking it and just walking up a short incline made me breathless. (I'm a very active 56 yr. old female with no previous type of problems except hbp-borderline)I cut one of my pills in half today to see if that helped and have to tell you it helped already. No shortness of breath-no dizziness or numb thoughts.) But if some pill is doing this kind of crap to folks systems--and all are describing similar symptoms...I want off of it now. When I go back to the doc I will ask for something else.
