I originally started YAZ about two years ago primarily to help with irregular or extended periods. I went off for about 8 months and had very light if any periods until about two months ago when my symptoms started back up. I went on YAZ for a month and my first week on the white or placebo pills the bleeding was extremely heavy. I'm sorry if this is graphic but I went to sleep for 5 hours with a tampon in and woke up soaked in blood. I freaked out and went to the ER and was told this is a normal side effect of this pill. Just prior to this I experienced: terrible migraine headaches brain fog loss of focus inability to think and communicate clearly increased sensitivity to sound terrible anxiety around people mood swings- I didn't realize this until reading everyone else's posts From my hospital visit I also learned my blood pressure was extremely high which could be a result of this pill. I am so thankful to everyone on here that were so brave and kind to share their stories. I hope my post will be just as helpful. thanks, S
