please try diet to control your blood pressure. foods that are high in potassium and low in sodium (fresh, natural, real foods are high in potassium- processed food products are high in sodium). the irony is that lisinopril prevents you from eating foods high in potassium and forces you to eat foods high in sodium, which kind of defeats the purpose
I agree with the other poster. Try to control your BP naturally. Once they get you on meds you're stuck on them for a lifetime and it's not good for you. Try exercising, relaxing, and abdominal breathing techniques. Invest in a home BP monitor (you can buy them at drugstores, WalMart, etc.) I recommend Omron brand. You can monitor your BP at home at different times of the day and learn to control it. You may only have high BP at the doctors' office (White Coat Syndrome). Mine was 140/90 at the doctor's office and 123/72 when I got home. Take care :-)
