I have had Mirena for 7 months. The first three months I bleed every single day. The past four months I haven't had a period at all. Not to mention the worst pain that would be comparable to a c-section after a week. I have gained weight but worst of all I got PID ( Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) because of this. I am married and both my husband and I are extremely faithful. Now I am looking at a lot more problems all because of this IUD. This is by far the worst birth control I HAVE EVER BEEN INTRODUCED TO. I wanted to attempt to have one more child later in the future now because of this I may not be able to have anymore children. I have two beautiful boys one 8months old and one 2 years. I waited four months before seeking care due to the fact that I lost my insurance. That is what hurt me the most. Because I waited so long there may be abscesses that my cause me to have a Hysterectomy which then crushes my dreams of trying for a girl.
