I switched from Diovan to lisinopril 3 weeks ago after 3 yrs of successful use of Diovan with no problems. This was because a new insurer would not cover most of the cost of the Diovan. Now I am having increasing anxiety and mild depression, along with sleep disturbance. I have already made an appointment to check out SSRI treatment, which I have never required before (for the anxiety and depression), but now I am thinking that the lisinopril may be the culprit. According to the pharm. co., anxiety is a "rare" side effect. Would love to get a look at their clinical trial results!
