I was prescribed Wellbutrin to help relieve withdrawal symptoms from smoking cessation. It worked. I felt so awful from the Wellbutrin for 4 days that I never – ever wanted to smoke again. My head felt like I could remove it from my shoulders and rest it on a table. I experienced a sort of “out of body” sensation most of the time. I was nausea's and had headaches constantly. By the time I decided I couldn’t take any more - 4 days had passed and the physical addiction to nicotine had been flushed out of my system. So technically it worked, just not the way my doctor had intended.
