This is for the women that have had it removed and are still suffering from the alleged side effects (trying to stay politically correct here, so no hate mail lol) - I've been following this blog/post site carefully since i've come across it, and have learned what i feel is quite a lot. The mirena is like any other drug in that it sticks around for a long time even once the source is gone! from what some people have replied w/ - post removal was a lot like withdrawal from most drugs. the first bit of time you may or may not feel better - but in the overall the symptoms will subside in time. women who had it removed after an extended amount of time, or were super-sensitive to hormonal changes seemed to take longer than others for the symptoms to pass. not to scare anyone, but there have been a few that had it removed over a year ago that are one just now feeling 95% themselves. for the sake of awareness, I'm going to mention that a couple women feel that the mirena has ruined their life, b/c now they cannot safely conceive due to the imbalance and damage it's done. give it time, but you'll start to feel better.
