I can just imagine the hell you went thru with the horrible itchiness which I experienced recently as well. I felt like rushing to the ER at 1 AM when the rashes broke out from my shoulders up. Luckily, I thought of using rubbing alcohol over the area and got almost INSTANT relief. Later, the docs told me rashes should be treated with MOISTURIZERS and alcohol is not one. At least, it INSTANTLY RELIEVED my suffering until I got to the ER later.....Sheila
Then, at the ER, the docs told me to use thereafter, EUCERIN (immediate itch relief) and daily advanced therapy moisturizers for the body. As for my eyes that got horribly itchy as well, they prescribed Zaditor (2x daily) and Artificial Tears Solution, as needed and Loratadine/Zyrtec daily.
Lastly, I use 50 mg of Benadryl as a sleep aid.
