I have gained 20 pounds in the past 2 years of being on the ring, my OBGYN said it was just cause I was getting older (27) and my metabolisms was slowing down. I used to weigh 120 when I started on B/C at the age of 18 and now weigh 170 almost 10 years later. I have always thought it was the B/C, pills and ring. good luck!
I've been on nuvaring for the last 6 months. I blamed the 8 pounds on my Jamaican honeymoon...two weeks all inclusive. Now I'm thinking that it wasnt Jamaica. I work out, love food and havent had to worry about weight a whole lot in the past. I live in Northern Canada, winter is tough. But lately have been quite easily upset, I dont want to say depressed because I'm normally quite happy and easy going....but everything seems to be dragging me down lately! And I have never had headaches like I have in the past few months. I am supossed to put the ring back in tonight...but told my husband I am "pulling the goalie" early! Also I almost fainted twice in the last two weeks. I blamed it on getting up too fast, etc but after reading, am not so sure. Before nuvaring I was on the pill for 5 years or more. I gained minimal weight over the years, nothing as fast as this. So....I'm thinking about going au natural. Good luck to you and everyone! I will let you know how I feel over the next month. Maybe this isnt a good thing, No BC and my sex drive will go back up...I hope!
i just wanted to tell you that the pill is going to make you gain more weight than the ring and your going to feel as if your pregnent...not a good feeling (think about it before you swich)
