I truly think my rheumatoid arthritis was the result of taking lipitor. Didn't have any symptoms before taking Lipitor but while on it woke up one day and could barely walk. Doctor immediately took me off of it and I saw significant improvement but still have the disease and its painful effects

This dangerous drug can cause MANY side effects . . . my dr. tried to tell me that I had "arthritis" too. The drs. and drug co's are doing a SCAM on the anti-cholesterol drugs . . .it is all about big $$ and many people are suffer.
Your mind/body needs cholesterol to function properly.

You have a good doctor, took you off the medicine straight away, helps restore faith that there are some doctors who can read and obey instructions. Don't risk taking any other form of cholestrol medicine. Good luck.

oldcarpetcleaner . . . . I don't know if she has good doctor . . . a good doctor would not prescribe this POISON in the first place, since your mind/body needs cholesterol to function properly. As you know, there are many natural products/alternatives to control cholesterol, if necessary,

777 is a fair comment but at least the doctorr ceased the medicine and if all doctots did at least that, follow basic instructions, then most of us would not have gotten so severely poisned completely ruining our lives.

oldcarpetcleaner . . . .Unfortunately, I don't trust a lot of drs. anymore. . . . I wonder if some of these drs. really care about the patients and that's why they tell them to stop taking it . . . or, the drs. are trying to protect themselves, since they know that statins have MANY side effects ??? !!
