Okay. I have been on Yaz for the last year. I have been having horrible migraines. I have been told to switch from Yaz to something else. The doctor prescribed me Loestrin 24. Now, ever statement I read someone says they have had a lot of spotting. Is there anyone taking Loestrin and is not spotting? I am not sure if I should take this pill now?????? I also need to loose about 10 pounds from taking the Yaz. I am afraid that taking the Loestrin I will gain more........ I just don't know what to do.

The only spotting I have ever had was randomly within the first 2 packs, but after that, the only spotting you'll see is if you miss a white pill.. Then the next day or two is some light spotting, but nothing super crazy.

Hi! I was on Yaz for about a year and also suffered from migraines! I was put on birth control because of cramps, and although Yaz helped, I switched to Loestrin 24 to try to lessen the likelihood of migraines and headaches. However I would NOT recommend you taking Loestrin 24. Although it is true that everyone has different side effects from using birth control, I have researched side effects of Loestrin 24 and 80% of the comments I've read are the same as mine: crazy mood swings, weight gain, tired etc. I have not had any breakthrough bleeding, spotting or anything like that while I've been on this pill; my period hasn't lasted for over a day since I switched to Loestrin either. It's not worth it though; I want to find a new pill, I can't stand my bitchiness / mood swings.

So i have been on loestrin 24 fe for about six months now and i have had zero spotting throughout my months. However with the first pack I had strong cramping and a very heavy period! But i have noticed that as time progressed, i have very little cramping and much lighter periods. so i hope this post helps people with the question of wanting to get on this medication.

Ok question for you guys regarding the switch from Yaz to Fem Con. I was only about one week in my last pack of Yaz before my doctor put me on Fem Con. She said to immediately start that following Sunday. I have irregular periods - which is the primary reason why she wanted me to switch. I am sexually active - and so I'm freaking out about the chances of pregnancy occuring because of switching like that...

Someone please advise me...

I've only become sexually active the last few months and I'm wondering if it's even worth it anymore. lol.

Between switching b-controls and anti-depressants, I just feel all over the place.

Is sex really even worth it? I don't enjoy it anyway because my sex drive is incredibly low... Idk it's just frustrating being a woman.

I was on yaz then switched to loestrin and I am sexually active and the doctor said that I would be protected when I took the first pill of loestrin, so me and my boyfriend of course had sex but I am always hungry now, and having to use the bathroom more than usual, could I be pregnant or is it just the new birth control changing on me and stuff.

please reply!
