To everyone out there that has issues with doxycycline... Now i fully understand the old saying that nothing is free in life. I got it for lyme disease 7 days ago, and it was one of the free prescripts from my grocery store (great i thought). Little did i know how powerful this stuff can be. For the last week i have basically had severe headaches and wanted to give up on life. I didn't want to work out, didn't want to go to work, had chest pains, muscle spasms, and DEEP DEPRESSION.... now i know why this is free, because after it gets you so depressed, they figure your doctor will put you on something to get you out of depression, a money making drug. This is probably the meds talking still (i stopped yesterday after what felt like a complete and utter mental breakdown). Regardless of my silly conspiracy theory, i am glad i stopped taking it, and i hope that i start feeling like myself again.

I started doxy on July 1 2009 at 10:00pm and notice that evening my left hand in one spot started to itch some thing terrible, I did as prescribed, by the morning my right toe started to itch worst. then my Va-j-j started to take on this horrible itching as well.

I only took 2 pills and have not taking anymore, today is July 4th 2009 and I woke up this morning with white patches on my tongue, still itching: hand, toe and Va-j-j, I have the worst headache, I can't even began to imagine what other symptoms I would have if I would have continued on with this medicine ,but I am so nervous now I don't know what else to do.NO kind of itching medicine is helping me, I believe the only reason I didn't get in a bout of depression is because I had my husband with me all day out on a date so I didn't have time to think of anything else,s I am so sorry this has happened to use, to make all matters worse for me, I took the medicine as a "PRECAUTION" for a procedure I was having done to have a baby so go figure.....

how have you been without this med? im trying to get off it now and cant wait to feel normal again
