Had it inserted on June 15th of this year. I have had cramping every day since. No other side effects but I will have it removed if these cramps don't subisde. I can't get over how many people have had horrible experiences with the Mirena. The doctor never said a word. Why would they say how great the Mirena is when so many women are having all these problems?

Hello ladies,
I just had the mirena iud inserted yesterday. First of all the procedure was very painful. I was told this would not hurt at all by my doctor. I have been doubled over with cramps since then and my lower back is really bothering me this morning. After reading this page, I am scarred to keep this thing in me. I am considering having it removed already. It's funny, just before I had it inserted my gut was telling me to not have it done. When am I going to realize I need to listen to my gut when I am about to do something I shouldn't!
