How long were you on it and at what dosage?
OMG! I can't tell you how many side effects that you posted that I went through. Still go through. My memory is shot, I forget words all the time, the tingeling and numbness started in my fingers every day and then sometimes in my toes. Muscle spasms, insomnia, muscle spasms, heat and cold intolerance, cold hands and feet and lately my over dry eye problem has me seeing the eye doctor once a month constantly putting drops including restasis drops to try to get it better. I thought it was due to pulminary sarcoidosis I was recently diagnosed with but now I am wondering if it has to do with topomax. I too lost some weight but not much but I loved it because on it I rarely had a migraine, just headaches a few times a week but not bad. My hair, was already thin is still coming out and I haven't used topamax for six weeks. My migraines are back with a vengence but at least I am 20 percent better memory wise. It got so bad I would stop in the middle of a sentence and ask the person I was talking to, what it was I had been talking about! My daughter was on 200mg a day for two years and started having these problems so she stopped taking it. I have been on topamax for five years at 100mg a day. I told my doctor all through the years i was having muscle spasms (which I still have), tingeling and numbness and he never said anything to me about it. I also use to have racing thoughts right before I would go to bed. It was like I couldn't shut my brain off. I don't have that problem at all anymore. Unfourtounetly I still have the cog., word and memory problems and am terrified that i will be like this for life. I'm 37 yet I feel like an edlerly person brain wise. Now this doctor wants to put me on propelel (not sure I have the right word) which i refused after I looked it up and found out it is for people with high blood pressure, to lower it. He took my blood pressure before he prescibed this and it was low because i tend to have low blood pressure. Is he crazy? I'm so frustrated. I wish I had found this site sooner!
