Hello: I'm 27 and have been taking Omeprazole since I was 20. The doctor started me me off with Protonix 40mg once daily which was later replaced with a generic brand and the dosage distribution to 20mg in the morning and 20mg in the evening. Recently (July 2009) I have been experiencing for the first time palpitations and pressure in that region. Very discomforting and a little scary especially being 27 and healthy. I had a thorough physical done about 4 months which yielded normal results. At least I am comforted by the fact that this is pervasive throughout other Omeprazole users. I will explore this further and share any new discoveries I make.
