Oh please, we are making these up?? how do you think that most of the women on here come across this website, its because we experience the side effects and google it to make sure we arent going mad!!! obviously the same way you found it!!!!!

lucky for you and your three other people who think its great...it does work for some.. unfortunately for a lot of women on here, and lets be honest its a website for side affects... it doesnt. Why come on here if you arent experiencing any, obviously you came on here looking for something, i dont believe you took the time and trouble read all the posts, log on and create a profile just to say how thousands of women are "making it up"

I am very happy to hear that you are not experiencing any side effects from your Mirena. Not every person is going to have side effects but those of us who are, have looked to this website for validation from others who are experiencing the same symptoms. I personally think it is rude for you to tell anyone that they are making things up. I believe you are having a good experience and so are your 3 friends and I am sure there are a lot more women out there who have had great success with it but to accuse people of making things up is unbelieveable! I have had my Mirena (two actually) for a total of 6 years now. Up until recently, I thought mine was "perfect" as well. But then, when my doctor told me last week that I was post-menopausal at age 39, I started researching why this may have happened to me so early and I found others who could link the Mirena to early menopause. I posted my story on this website for "information only". I just want women to be aware that if they are young women who plan to have more children, that the Mirena might not be the best form of birth control as it could accelerate their bodies into menopause and the chance to have more children will be forever gone.

Once again, glad to hear your 1 1/2 months has been uneventful and I hope that you are still satisfied in a few years. Please, in the future, refrain from accusing other people - it is not necessary.

it's only been a month and a half...i loved mirena, that first month...THEN it was awful. i did the research, i read everything, and i had it removed after having a complete hormonal breakdown. i also have three friends who have had mirena, and ALL of them had it removed after varying periods of time and a whole host of side effects! good luck with yours...and please don't be so quick to judge.

let me clarify for those of you or read my post wrong...I SAID IF YOU BEGIN TO BELIEVE SOMETHING IS BOTHERING YOU THEN IT WILL SO IM NOT SAYING YOUR FUCKING LYING READ WHAT THE HELL I SAID BEFORE YOU TRY TO SAY IM ACCUSING YOU, now like i said yes i came up here to see if diarrhea was a symptom but i found on another webpost that it comes with having a period 2, that is why i posted my success with the mirena like i said again...it may be made up because if you start to say ok its the mirena thats making me sick then your going to believe just like when i thought i was pregnant i was feeling sick and didnt get a period and was throwing up but i thought i was and in my mind i told myself i was, so i felt that way...and i wasnt...so before you start to jump your guns ladies come down a damn notch ok....thanks..

i think you will find that being miserable and snappy at others is a well documented side effect as well.... but sorry, you dont have side effects... ask those around you if you have changed, or do you always snap and behave like that??

I have been going through these symptoms of feeling crazy, depressed, etc like these other women have 3 months after i got mine put in. I have had it for a year now and didnt understand where this shit is coming from because my life is perfectly fine. I googled these side effects to see if it could be the mirena, and sure enough, ppl have the same symptoms. However-some ppl, like yourself, may be happy with the mirena....good for you...but dont come on this site and be a bitch and accuse ppl of blaming their problems on the mirena like your some badass. I mean, you know that all ppl are different right? AND medicines give you side effects because some ppl might experience them right? So who is the stupid bitch that cant see that and cant see that actually other women might be suffering from these symptoms? That would be you sweetheart.

again let me clarify!!!!!!!!! cuz some people up here obviously can not read! at all ok if you read the post it says IF YOU START TO BELIEVE SOMETHING IS BOTHERING YOU IT WILL, so im just telling you that maybe some of the symptoms everyone is having are because you believe its the mirena cuz you've read sooooooo many posts about people talking shit about it and what not...you have to take other things into account as to why the fuck your feeling the way you do, if i felt like i wanted to jump off a bridge tomorrow damn what am i going to blame it on that..you can be perfectly happy and something trigger you in your surroundings and you may not know it and all of a sudden you might feel like you want to kill yourself...be for real....so im not saying nobody has any symptoms with every drug there is a symptom we all know that....trust me i know i've taken my share of medical classes to know that every drug has a side effect but anyways like i said if you ALL would have read what i was saying instead of trying to jump your fucking guns none of you dumb asses would be up here getting all pissed off...

NO but seriously, I LOVED my Mirena when I first got it, was great, cont to breastfeed my daughter and once she weened herself at 11 months, I started to have a period again, nothing bad. But it was after I completely stopped breastfeeding that these other symptoms began to arrise. I just found this website last night, so I can tell you I have not been reading everyones side effects.....but find it strange enough to be in the same boat with many of these women. My husband can attest to the mood changes and anger issues, my family takes the brunt of it and they are not the reason behind it. And I consider myself to be a highly educated person and read everything about this before having it inserted, had many doctors who said it was great, heck I even work in L&D and have recommend these to my patients. If there is a problem I can bring it up and talk about it. If you go to the Mirena website, there is nothing mention about a lot of these side effects that women are having.....how many pharmaceutical companies to you know tell the "WHOLE TRUTH"....and then to come to find out years later that there were issues and current law suits against the drug manufacturers? Acutane, Phenteramin, Celebrex, etc... to name a few, had hidden side effects not honestly warned about.
But all docs want to do when you tell them about your mood and anger is put you on sort of antidepressant, so what are you really treating? Issues caused by one med and treated by another med, that you may not need to begin with if you just have the IUD removed?

no trust me i was like this way before the mirena..im cuban im naturally angry..its in my family...been in anger management for 3 yrs...can you tell its working?? :)

but yes i know they dont want you to know the whole truth im a Pharm. Tech so trust me i know all about medications...

what you dont seem to be able to understand is that most of us on here have the side effects already before we even read the posts on here.... how do you think we have found this site? probably the way you have by googling mirena side effects...

i was suffering with cramps, wanting to pee all the time etc etc, most women think they are going mad until they come on here and see that others all suffer the same way. Believe me, being suicidal wasnt something i read about and thought i would haveto have that... it was a genuine side effect... i wouldnt wish the way i felt on anyone.
