I have had my Mirena for almost 6 years now and until I found this website I had chalked up the changes in my body to changes in my life circumstances as well. I think everyone needs to decide for themselves if this is the right choice for them or not. Not having a period for 6 years (after years of extremely heavy bleeding for months on end) has been a Godsend and that was the purpose of having my Mirena put in initially. Once I saw the side effects others have had in print, it got me thinking that maybe mine too has caused me a lot more problems than intitially thought. I have not had any extreme rage, etc., but I have felt exhausted, constant headaches, gained weight and had recurrent sinus problems pretty much since initial insertion.
Hopefully your Mirena provides you everything you had hoped and that you do not experience any intolerable side effects.
