i am on the depo shot,i feel tired,headaches,no sex drive,depress...

No one can tell you what will work well for you. I too was on the Depo for a year or so and did fine, but after time the side effects started wearing on me, however after being on the Mirena ugh... I can not say for sure untill after tomorrow morning I have decided to have it removed after just shy of 3 years. The first year was not too bad spotted off and on, cramping ect. I started feeling derpessed, gained weight, I have always been "on the ball" now I could not even find the ball if I wanted, my head is fog, my body hurts, just aches all the time I am so tired. the doctor did all kinds of test, nothing was wrong. We decided I was depresed since I had lost my mother around the same time the symptoms really started on strong. I was on anti depressant that worked for a bit then would level off so she would increase the dose then same thing after a month or so back to the same issues, so we changed my meds again same thing. I went on line the other night to web md trying to see what I am missing and came across these postings everyone seems to have the same issues. I called the next day and like I said tomorrow morning it is coming out. I guess over time if things change for me I will know for sure thats what it was. i stopped the anti depressants a couple of months ago so I am on no medications that I can blame. We shall see. If the issues continue, then I will know it was not the Mirena. and I will either have it again or find some other form of birth control, I have 3 children so pregnancy is not in my future.
