It seems to me that you should have stuck with it a little longer. I think it took several weeks (7 or 8) for me to fully adjust to the device. Since, then it has been just great. It's an expensive device, so you are really throwing away a lot of money when you have it removed without giving your body time to adjust.
I had none of the negative effects (emotional, etc.), so it has been very good for me. I am on my 2nd one.
Hi there, i dont think that people realise how quickly the side effects can come on, mine were instant, i gave it three months before i got a second opinion because of how ill, suicidal, depressed, lack of sex drive, bloating, pain during sex if i did have it, discharge, dizziness, head muzziness, tiredness, cramping was.. my doctor persuaded me to give it another month so i did and he couldnt believe how ill i was when i went back and instantly said he was removing it...
i originally had the mirena for heavy bleeding, i must be honest, it worked for that, i wasnt bleeding as often or as much, but unfortunately the other side effects outweighed the good, it was the best thing i ever did when i got it took out... unfortunately i got worse and not better by giving it time
