Thank goodness I found this website. I just got done having sex and the burning pain I had was torture. I had to find answers and thankfully I found this site. I just yanked this freaking NUVARING crap out. I started using it a week ago because I found out I have some breast lumps (Thank God they're not malignant). My Doctor recommended the NUVARING, but I was on the OrthoEvra Patch (for 4 years which I've had no issues with). I thought this painful sex was just something I was going through but after finding this site, it seems to be a side effect of NUVARING.
Maybe the first hint that should have made me not use it was when my doc said I had to put in the fridge.

Buddhaness, thank you so much for posting about painful sex. I really thought I was losing it.

Thankfully, I have only used it for a week!! Good luck to all of you. Let me go find another doctor.

Other side effects I have seen in using the NuvaRing for a week:

-Alot of discharge
-Reduced "wetness" during sex
-Burning pain after sex

My question to you ladies:
-I am really prone to getting yeast infections. For those that have removed the NuvaRing and have gone through the yeast infections, how long did they last? Did OTC drugs work?
