Update:- Went to see Gyno today for the results of VScan..... ...

I, too, had fibroids/polyps and had extremely heavy, almost constant bleeding. After a D&C and a hystoscope, I had Mirena inserted this past June. The insertion was uncomfortable, but not too painful. I am still bleeding, sometimes light, sometimes heavier, but so far not nearly as heavy and unpredictable as it had been. The hope is that eventually, I will stop bleeding and the lining will shrink. Otherwise I have to have a hysterectomy. When I read all the bad side effects that many of you are having, it scares me that I might have bad side effects too in the coming months. But so far, so good.
