I have had my MIRENA iud for FIVE years now after having my 2nd child. I love the fact that I have had absolutely NO period for years now and I can't remember if I have even spotted in the last year. I do have acne on my chin that seems to be chronic (and I just turned 40 this week). I have also been on Adderall for a couple of years to treat mild depression which I suspect is related to the Mirena - actually not depression, but a constant 'blah' feeling and extremely tired - hard to just get thru the day. No weight gain or loss. I have had night-sweats for years and it sounds like it might be related. I'm considering having it removed (because it has been the 5 year mark) but I LOVE not having a period or being worried about getting pregnant! Tough decision about what to do next. . . I'm considering Essure (perm BC) . . .
