Just finished reading the posts and I feel like it was written about my 8 year old. I never connected the two issues of anxiety, frustration doing schoolwork, quick to tears and leg pains. I kept telling them they were growing pains. Last night he called me from his father's and said he has suicidal thoughts... not that he wanted to kill himself, just couldn't stop thinking about it... good lord. After months of dealing with him not wanting to go to bed and not feeling safe we have an answer. I told my ex husband to stop the medication today, I will post back after a few weeks to update the progress. I usually never post randomly on the internet, but this site might have just saved my son from emotional turmoil!

Please visit us at www.parentsforsafety.org to read everything nobody ever told you about Singulair.

I hope your son recovers quickly from the problems he has been having on Singulair. About 20 hours after a dose, blood levels of Singulair are zero. Many parents have reported a postitive change in their children's mood and behavior within a few days of stopping. Some reported that it took longer. You may find the "recovery stories" on our website helpful.

you are not alone,we have seen the devastation this drug can have on children.I knew after 3 days off it i was on the right path.Within the first 2 weeks i saw the greatest changes, but little things remain,as in the anxiety of social situations he was unsure of,but now it has been a year and a half drug free,i am very hopeful it is all behind us,caustiously optomistic. Please take the time to report to the FDA,it is the only way to try to get change.Heres hoping your son gets better sooner rather than later

you are about to experience an amazing journey. it will be amazing to see your child recover from the assault of singulair. i can tell you from experience that it will take a full 3 weeks to see the most changes. you will start to see other things improve that you didnt even realize were connected.

my son was on singulair from age 4 to 7. it was after they increased his dosage to 5mg that it became loud and clear what was wrong. he suffered 3 yrs on singulair. i feel guilty every day for not recognizing it sooner but thankful every day for this website. when i made the discovery there were 700 side effects listed. i probably read every one of them in one weekend. now there is over 2400.

my son suffered from anxiety, restless sleep, nightmares, fears, leg / stomach pains, poor appetite, quick to tears, dark circles under his eyes etc... on the higher dosage, he began to have a facial tic, dilated pupils, hallucinations, cold sweats and extreme fears and anxiety. after discontinuing the singulair, he made an amazing recovery.

feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need support.
