Hi I got the mirena April 16th 09, I had heavy bleeding for the first month then light bleeding for another month then it stopped! I found my moods eased a little bit and I wasn't so angry all the time. It's now late July, I have started having constant headaches, cramping and the worst symptoms of getting your period it felt like labor with pain down my leg and back ache, I also felt nausea. I was worried I might have ectopic pregnancy so I rang gyny on a Saturday ($200) to check it out and found I had a burst cyst (from mirena) but he didn't tell me that. Then I have been having pain in chest and feeling stressed more often this doctor called me a hypocondriac in little words. I think it's the mirena cause I have never felt like this before. oh and my sex drive has virtually disappeared. other than that, if you don't want kids than get one thats all it's good for!
