I had the reoccuring rash for 2 months before I came to the conclusion that it was my Mirena. My doctor also prescribed predisone for the rash relief. It helped with slight relief. My doctor said he had never heard of that side effect before, but was very understanding. The rash feels as if something is biting you constantly. As a matter of fact, I had that itchy/biting feeling for about a month before the rash developed. I actually tracked when the rash developed since it occured 2 months in a row. It usally happened when I was supposed to have my period. I had the rash from my neck to my ankles. Well, I had the Mirena removed and no more rashes or that awful itchy /biting feeling. Please listen to your body ladies when these side effects happen. Especially when you have never had these symptoms before Mirena.
