Has anyone had the itching? The horrible horrible itching like you want to peel your skin off in a not very pleasant area? My doctor started me on NuvaRing last Monday and ever since it's been like my skin is on fire. I took the ring out last Sunday, but am still itching sporadically. It's pretty unbearable. Any ideas on how to handle? Any help would be appreciated.

I just started it a week ago and have had the same itching problem. It truly is unbearable. Also I have not stopped bleeding since I put it in, I think I'm going to take it out. Not really sure if all of this is normal so early on.

You may have a yeast infection caused by the Nuva. I experience it occasionally. Maybe 2 a month. My doctor says my body is taking care of itself and it goes away by itself. Try an OTC for a yeast infection. Monistat works well I've heard

the itching is driving me insane! Its an uncontrolable and unbearable experience and it seems to be getting worse. The skins is broken, swollen, and tender. I've tried lotions, anti-itch creams, yeast infection meds...you name it. I thought maybe I was having some kind of allergic reaction but I guess its just a terrible, terrible side effect. I'd talk to your doctor, although according to some of the blogs on here, the doctors dont think it has anything to do with the NR. I dont think this many women can have the same problems and it not be caused by one thing.....we arent crazy!
