i am a 32 year old woman who has had mirena for about 7 months now. i have bled every day since the insertion with the exception of 10 days. i had decided to use mirena in an attempt to minimize my period and instead i live with it every single day. i also have really bad stabbing cramps that have never ceased. they come and go very sporadically and are enough to have me stop in my tracks and nearly fall over. additionally, the insertion was awful! i would never suggest that anyone goes through that pain. what i am only now putting together is the lack of sex drive. my poor husband has been very patient but i've been very upset with my lack of sex drive and it is hurting our relationship. unfortunately he won't go for a vasectomy so i'm going to have to go back on the pill but i have definitely now decided to have the mirena removed. thank you all for sharing.
