I just found this site today. I'm sad to say I'm having the same experiences as most of you. The depression, the random pains and tingling sensations... You name it. I'm a 35 year old male and I have a great life. There is no reason I should be depressed all the time. I've been taking this medicine for over 5 years now. Whenever I miss more than a day, the acid reflux gets so bad that I feel like I'm having a heart attack. I was taking prilosec and some of the other OTC's before my doctor put me on this. I'm currently on the lookout for a replacement treatment to GERD so I can get "My" life back.
Hi,
in case you haven't guessed or noticed,
your problems are probably caused by the
PPIs, not remedied. At least that's what
newer studies suggest strongly.
Would you mind sharing some more details
of your experiences?
(I'm a European journalist researching
Omeprazole side effects, which are,
err, breathtaking)
Best
