I took Yaz for almost two years and it has been a great birth control pill for me. For the first three to five months that I was on it, I barely had a period. This is normal. I freaked out and called my doctor but my body was getting used to different doses of hormones in my system. It's totally fine. If you have other side effects such as fever, nausea, vomiting etc. then I would see a doctor asap. If you are sexually active, I would def. use a condom as well to be safe. I have decided to switch from Yaz to Ocella (generic for Yasmin) for purely financial reasons. It's just too expensive to pay for Yaz without health insurance. Good luck, chica...all will work out!
