I also have experienced hot flashes since I had the mirena removed about 2 months ago. A lot of the post symptoms that I am going through with the removal of the mirena are the same that I experienced for months after I had my daughter 3 yeas ago. Since the Mirena seems to make your body think that you are pregnant, I guess removing it is like having your body go through the same changes and having the hormones balance out after pregnancy. It gives me hope that I will feel "normal" again.
