My dr. prescribed butalbital (fioricet) for my headaches and he is aware of my existing conditions (sensitivity to aspirin as well as mild ulcerative colitis. I have experienced severe stomach pain especially on the left side and have stopped taking this drug. I will advise my dr. but want to know what would cause these symptons; should my dr. have prescribed this drug for me and what is a safe substitute.
