Be prepared for the "mirena crash". I had mine removed 2 months ago. Many of the symptoms that I have experienced post removal are similar to the symptoms I experienced post partum after my daughter. It gives me hope because I eventually felt like my old self after a few months. Your body has to learn how to produce progesterone again and has to balance out with estrogen. I think for me I had estrogen dominance when I started my period (1st week); for the 2nd and 3rd week I seem more balanced with estrogen and progesterone; 4th week is pms week and not a good week(it's like having the same symptoms as I did with the mirena) until my period starts. I hope with time it will balance out even more and things won't be so pronounced. Good luck to you
