I had been on Yazmin for a couple of years, then switched to yaz, 2 years ago. I decided to go off thie pill, I am almost 39...anyway, I did initially switch to Loestrin 24fe for about a week and a half, then to Aleese for a week or so, and on both, I had carmps or quesines, (This was after stopping yaz..).. But the real killer is the obsessive thoughts/nightmares. I had dreams of either sounds or visions of someone vomiting, for several nights in a row. I have been off all BCP for 18 days as of today. I started having anxiety about going to sleep due to the dreams, then it rolled over into my daily life. I was fearing the fear of hearing or thinking of it. Yesterday I called my OB/GYN and after sharing my list of issues, she told me to see my primary care dr. After crying for no reason, nervous stomach for days/nights on end, nightmares and thoughts of the dreams, loss of appetite, etc...my Dr. prescribed xanax 0.25mg to take as needed. I took 1/2 of of a pill at noon today and I started to feel a bit better. I plan on taking the other 1/2 tonight.
The effects, I believe is from yaz...
I home my story will help others and to let you know...you are not going crazy even though we feel as we are...talk to you doctor. I did request a hormonal blood work, and I have not heard back yet...thought I may be going through perimenopause, but after reading these and other posts, I believe it is from the yasmin/yaz!
