Funny, I've been on Lisinopril for 4 yrs. & just noticed the tip of my tongue felt numb & with a weird taste. I thought it was from the Hysterectomy I had ungone a month ago. Nope it's due to the Lisinopril. So is the depression. WOW, I think it may be time to change BP Meds.

How soon after taking the Lisinopril did you notice the depression? My husband started it in April 2007 and by August was very withdrawn and by September we added Lexapro. Now, this was a 57 year old healthy man who took an aspirin everyday...that's it. Now, BP Med, and Antidepressant.
Here we go, the cycle begins. How as your mental status? Sluggish? Anxiety, Confusion, Memory Loss of any kind?

My mental status seems off at time. I'm tired 80% of the day, but Anxiety is the biggy. When night falls & I want to sleep, seems like my mind & body have other thoughts. I try to think good thoughts to fall of to sleep, but I end up more depressed! Yes, I do have memory loss as well. It's in the short term! I think Lisinophil needs to be off the market, before it does further damage to our bodies! Just my opinion! Best of luck to your husband.
