I hope that you find out why you still have extreme pain & discomfort.
I have had Lyme disease in the past, it does cause joint pain (knees, elbows) but it also causes intestinal problems (vomitting, nausea), severe tiredness, and severe headaches. If your doctor believes that your disease is recent, then it might be worth testing, but if he/she believes that you contracted Lyme around the time you began taking Levaquin, then the results might be negative. Levaquin is often used to treat Lyme disease.
I took Levaquin for 5 days, and I stopped taking it two days ago. The pain is still intense, but is better than yesterday, as the swelling in my hands has gone down. One thing that I noticed was that I am so tired and feel disorientated, hopefully those symptoms will go away soon. How long have your symptoms been bothering you? I have a very technical job that requires the use of my hands, I need to be able to type & manipulate items with my hands.
