mirena has done wonders for me. i have no complaints. i got mirena in Feb. 08. so about a year and a half ago. i got it because i had the most unbearable periods where they had me on narcotics and it was completely ruining my life to the point where they wanted me to have a hysterectomy at the age of 20. when i got it implanted, i had severe pain or about 2 days, but since then: -i have not had a period... -i get occasional cramps once a month around when i would be having my period, but they are no where near as painful as they used to be... -my boobs have grown a little... -i haven't gained much weight, expect for the weight that i had lost on all my medication before... -and i still have just as much sex as i used to... all in all, mirena literally saved my life.
