I am so glad I found this website! I had the Mirena placed on August 14th and haven't stopped bleeding since. I started having horrible mood swings/depression and have gained about 10lbs. I just emailed my Doctor again....he talked me into not making a decision about taking it out last week. He said he wasn't aware of any side effects that I mentioned above. I am going to be adamant about it's removal after reading everyone's side effects. I know now that it's not all in my head. Lesson learned: listen to our bodies!
