****KENALOG CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT**** Need a list...

I was injected with Kenalog in July 2009. After my Anaphlactic reaction & hospitalization, I noticed a large indentation on my left temple area. I need any information in my endeavor to correct this.

I have 2 indentations where I have gotten Kenelog shots.. They are deep and red and purple in color.. Painful.. Aching kind of. I work for a Doctors office and this is how we cure our seasonal allergies so I have gotten several. Had I known half of my butt was going to be gone to feel better I never would have done it. It is embarassing, painful and hard on my self esteem.. I'm not lokking for a law suit but I can name about 15 or so cases just from giving them here at the office.

I understand...I have a half doller indent on my left butt cheek from a shot I recieved in the ER. since then i'm losing my butt. I am only 31, i went back to the same ER today, they said they have never seen this befor and blew me out of there. I received one IM injection of Kenolog by my dermatologist for a rash that I developed around my eyes in early March 2009. A couple of weeks later I had a vaginal yeast infection and missed a period that month. The next month and for several months later I continued with heavy vaginal bleeding and my iron count and hemoglobin dropped. I'm currently taking iron pills and scheduled to have a D&C. I have suffered form hair loss as a result of the anemia and low iron. I returned to the dermatologist and she did confirm that the heavy bleeding is a side effect from the kenolog. I just recently noticed a quarter size indentation in my right buttucks. I'm a registered nurse and I am extremely upset that I was not informed of these awful side effects. What can be done to protect other?

I was given this shot earlier this summer to help with the horrible allergies I have. About a week ago, I noticed an indententation on my lower back with slight coloration making it look similar to a bruise. I went back to the same doctors office who had given me the shot and the doctor himself had told me it was a bruise. I explained that its not sore to the touch but I think it has something to do with my nerves because muscles in my back twitch and are constantly sore. He told me I must not have noticed it when I bumbed it. It has only gotten deeper since so my step-mom looked it up online and found this site. When the nurse administered the shot, I never was given any information of side effects or was asked to read or sign anything about kenalog shots. The nurse said I'd possibly experience tenderness in the injection sights and drowsiness like any other injection. I am extremely upset about this. I don't want this on my body and I don't want the pain that comes with it. If I would have been provided with the information that I am aware of now I would have opted not to get the shot!

I got a Kenalog shot the summer of 2009, about a month later I noticed a dent in my right buttocks. It is purple in color and causes discomfort in my entire right hip area. I was never told this was a possible side effect. I am 41 and embarrassed by this indention on my body.

I was really worried about what it was. I called the Dr, they said it would go away. That was 7 months ago. It is still just as big, just as tender, and just as ugly! I am very interested in being part of this. About 4 months ago I received a shot from my Dr's office for allergies that I was suffering from. One month ago I discovered an indentation on my right buttocks cheek. It is about the size of my thumbprint and is different in texture than the rest of my body. It is lighter in color as well compared to the rest of my body. As of right now I have not experienced any pain but am not sure if I will come across that in the future. I was very concerned about this so I was looking for answers online and I am very glad I came across this forum. Thank you

Hi , I too am so glad that I have some answers to this puzzle, I remember getting the shot on the bottom right side of my neck for severe spasms. I then began feeling numbness down my arm and more sensitive pains in my neck.... Hi I would like to join the list for the lawsuit. My name is Angela Platt and I live in Raleigh, NC. I had an injection back in May of this year. Just recently I have formed a quarter sized indentation at the injectoin site. It is sore and sometimes throbs. I thought what they were giving me was an injection for an allergic reaction and had no idea this could be a side effect. I would have waived it and used other means to treat the inflammation had i known. I think it's unethical that they are giving this out seeing how many people are having such problems. i decided to look up kenalog today because i began i noticed a change in my period and my alleries have returned today as if i were never given the shot. was given a shot of kenalog on 10-27-09 and was given no information about these types of side effects. i started my period on 11-09-09 usally lasts from 3-6 days. I went through twice as many pads and i am still spotting and leaving clots in the toilet. today is 11-17-08 and about 10pm my allery systems started all over again it is now 12:30 am 11-18-09 i am stuffy, sneezing my ears are clogged up and i feel miserable. glad i decided to look this drug up online. i guess now i ll be on the lookout for more systems hopefully there won't be any but if there is i will get back with you. thanks for all the information that apparently you can't get from your dr. keep me on any new info. wish the best to all of you!

I got a steroid shot for a sinus infewction in July and a week later noticed an indention in my lower back/upper bottock exactly where the shot was. It has got a lot bigger and deeper since, about the size of a golf ball and half an inch deep. I have not noticed any seirous changes in my menstrual cycle, but I have definetly had more problems than I ever had with my back. My back constantly hurts daily, and I have a hard time getting comfortable or sitting in one position for a long period of time. I am not sure yet the exact name of the drug, but from all the research I have done, it sounds like it is Kenalog. Also, just today, I noticed that when I pressed down and rubbed on the indention I could feel a few tiny lumps and that has me very worried. I had a Kenalog injection in my right buttocks on May 19, 2009 to treat a skin allergy. I have an indentation at the sight. It is about the size of a golf ball and deep. It is dark in color. At first I thought I just bruised from the injection. It has been almost 7 months and it has not gotten better. It doesn't hurt but bothers me. It shows with a wear a bathing suit and just bothers me that I have a divit in MY BUTT. I went back to the doctor on November 23, 2009. This is when I found out it can happen. I was told that it could take 2 years to heal. I was also told to use vitamin C cream at the sight. The other option explained is to have fat harvested from the other buttocks side and inject it into right side indentation. I am overwhelmed at all the postings I have seen about this.

Count me in also on a lawsuit. I had the shot in March of 09 after a long bout with bronchitis/sinus infection. I had to sign a paper at my Drs. office that said I *might* have "dimpling" at the site. I do have a small dimple which doesn't seem as serious as some have, but it is still bruised and as painful as the day I got the injection. I also have had severe mood changes since getting the shot, and severe muscle aches. The injection helped somewhat with my bronchitis, but not to the point of still having pain in my hip area 9 months later.

This is not a good drug, and needs to be pulled from the market.

my daughter is having all of these side effects. She had her shot in Dec of 08 and the divit is still growing. Her menstrual period has been messed up ever since the shot. I have taken her to 4 different doctors for this problem they act like they can't imagine the shot being responsible for these symptoms.

I got my shot in September of 2009 to treat an allergic reaction to a Sulfa injection he gave me a few days earlier. It helped with my allergy but my cycle was messed up for about two months after that. I didnt really notice my indentation until a month later because it was after swimsuit season, but I have noticed it has gotten deeper. Its about the size of a ping pong ball and about a centimeter deep.

I got an allergy shot a few months ago and had a bruise in that spot on my arm for 2-3 weeks then about a month ago noticed a small indentation on my arm where the shot was given. It has grown in the last month and I can now fit a finger in the dent on my arm. This is very alarming that no one warned me of any side effects, had I known an indentation would form on my arm I would have never gotten this shot. I received 2 Kenalog injections in my scalp for some hair loss approximately three weeks ago. I now have large dents in my skull at the site of the injections. The injection sites are still painful with a somewhat numb feeling. I have also had some strange symptoms that I did not attribute to the injection but after reading the site, realize that I must do some further research. I was given Kenalog by my Ear, Nose, & Throat Dr after having sinus surgery. I had surgery on 11/06/09, I was told they gave me "a steroid" prior to coming out of the operating room. At my one week follow-up, I was given "a steroid" again for inflamation. This time I was coherent and asked what I was given; it was Kenalog. The big problem for me has been menstration. I began my cycle on November 21 (about 2 days late), I have had problems with my cycle in the past but can always at least count on one thing, regularity. It is now December 31, 2009 and I am still on my period. I spoke to my OB a week ago and he said the effects of this shot can last 6 to 9 months...my ENT told me 6-8 weeks. My OB also said I may need to have an ablasion which requires a shot called Lupron that induces menopause for 1 month prior to the procedure or a hysterectomy. I am only 31, if I had any idea when this might end I guess I could deal with 2 or 3 more days but....5 - 8 more months. A recent blood test has shown that I am have blood loss anemia. If I keep this up I may just bleed to death.

Sometime last yearI noticed a dark purple deep indentation about the size of a silver dollar on my rear end. I was shocked when I saw it and kept trying to figure out what it was. I had been having a lot of allergy and sinus problems the last few years and had gotten Kenalog shots, but didn't associate it until I typed in my symptoms on the internet and the explanation appeared that totally indicated many other people have gotten the same ugly places due to Kenalog shots. I now have a newer smaller place appearing from a shot that I received before I found out about this. The last time I went to that clinic I told them about this and they acted as if they knew nothing about these problems with Kenalog and are still using it!
I would like to see it banned and all patients, or shall I say "victims" compensated for these disfigurements. There is no treatment for this that I know of, but I will show it to my Dermatologist next time I go.

I started receiving this in October of 2009 in the form of intraoccular injections( in my eye) for the treatment of an inflammatory disease in my eyes( uveitis). I began almost immediately experiencing debilitating side effects but when I asked the doc if this was related to Kenalog he insisted none of these were related. I have had irregular periods since, muscles aches and weakness, extreme loss of energy, moodswings and depression, memory loss, headaches, hair loss and broken capillaries on both legs. My experience mirrors the others. Kenalog injections for an overwhelming case of hives. 9 months later, a divot appeared, a bit larger than a quarter. There is a dull pain around the crater. My dr. said, "well, I've never seen that before", and that was that. I would like to join this class action suit also. I am seeing a dermatologist to document size, color, etc.

I am interested in participating in the Kenalog lawsuit. Received 2 shots to quell the pain of an overwhelming case of hives. 9 months later, a divot, larger than a quarter appeared at the injection site. Showed my doctor and he said, "I've never seen anything like that before", and that was it. Asked how I would fix it, he said he didn't know. The divot aches and is tender.Have an appointment to see my dermatologist to document size, color, etc of the divot. Let me know what you would need from me.

My upper arm is disfigured now and I still deal with the pain, my Dr. told me that I will probable need to see a plastic surgeon to fix the disfigurment. I would like to join your class action suit. I received a one-time kenalog injection on 12/1/09 for allergies by my allergist. I was told after the injection that it may mess with my period a bit and not to worry. I was also told that I would feel great and that it would also help with any joint pain if I had been having any. I experienced spotting off and on after the shot, then my period started on 12/17/09 and has not stopped since. I had a 4 day migraine at the beginning of my period and cramps worse than I had ever experienced in my life. I've never had a migraine before. I've now had my period for 5 weeks to the day and it's not showing any signs of stopping. I saw my doctor yesterday (not my allergist) and she said she had never heard of anything like this from kenalog and has asked me to have some labs drawn so we can find out what's going on. I will be going back to the doctor as soon as she receives my lab results. In addition to that, I had really strange knee pain in both knees, some strange back pain and upper back pain (never had any problems with back pain previously) probable depression and mood swings from really high to really low. I would love to join forces with everyone here. Please let me know what I can do or any additional information I can provide.

I also had a Kenalog shot for seasonal allergies in July 2009. About two months following I noticed a 1/2 dollar indent above my left hip. When I went back to the physician's office to question it, one of the nurses was panicing because she thought she may have administered the injection. The doctor told me it was a common side effect and the only option was plastic surgery to fill it in. It seems as if it may slowly be getting deeper. I was not warned of ANY side effects in advance of the injection. I am very interested in a class action law suit.

I am interested in a class action suit also. The shot has left me with a large and embarrassing indention on my butt. I also would not have gotten the shot if I would have known about this side effect.

I also received a shot of Kenalog in the spring of 09. for itching on my scalp.
The shot did not help at all. I started noticing an indentation on my right buttock about two months ago. The indentation is slowly getting larger.
Sometimes it is tender. I have read all of the other posts, and have not all of but many of the same symtoms. I am also interested in joining all others in what can be done about this?

Iam in, had Kenalog shot and 3 days later broke out with hives and burning sensations all over my body.Called doctor right away and the idiot said I was crazy,and wanted to give me another shot. Now its 3 months later still having the burning sensations and some blurred vision.That drug has to be taken off the market.So let me know what I can do .Anyone know how long this garbage can stay in your system?

I had 2 kenolog injections on my upper right back for neck pain. About one to two weeks later I noticed 2 red marks where my doctor and given me the injections. About two months after that which is now, there is severe dimpling and it is very embarrasing because I am young and it is very noticable. When anyone touches the spot it hurts. I also noticed stomach pain since the shot and I got on birth control because I had never had irregular periods but had since the shot.

I had no idea what was going on but after I received an injection of a steroid in my right buttock hip area. It was swollen, tender to the touch and after a brief time I noticed it was dark almost black colored and my skin was scaley around this whole area. Now I have noticed a huge dimple. I keep myself in shape and this huge dimple is very upsetting. It almost seems as if it has deteriorated my muscle in my behind. I can even feel the indent through my pants. This is larger than any dimple I have ever seen. Not pretty either. I'm very upset about this.

I want in. I had several Kenolog shots and the last one ate a big hole in my belly. I found out I have a hernia that developed underneath it and am having surgery to fix both issues this month. I also had to start high blood pressure meds since the shot and had my period just stop completely for over 9 months, so I really went through the ringer!!! I had kenalog injections on my scalp by a plastic surgeon who closed my skin cancer after MOHs surgery. The site was too large to suture. He took a hair graft from the back of my ear about 3 or 4 inches from my ear. After the surgery my head was numb and eventually the right side was fine but now I still have numbness on the left side. Recently I discovered the indentation next to the graft. My surgeon injected that site because he thought the tightness in my scalp was scar tissue.

I have an indentation on my scalp next to a hair graft resulting from skin cancer. I have very little skin left, mostly grafts and no hair on top. I freaked out when I felt the indentation. Drs. dont know what it is even after CT. I have kenalog injections near that area because the plastic surgeon thought the tightness I was experiencing was scar tissue.
