I started the Methylpred today, all six 4mg pills. That was about 3pm About 6 hours later, I noticed my heart was beating very hard and fast, my cheeks were flushed and it felt like I'd been running for 20 minutes. Took my Blood pressure (I'm on Atenolol for the pressure) and the reading was 190/78 pulse 92. 5 minutes later it was 187/71 pulse 89. My normal pulse is about 71. Normal blood pressure is about 140/69 -75. I'm afraid to take any more of this. It was prescribed by my regular doctor for a virus infection in the inner ear. Looks like I may have to just wait out the virus... J. - Missouri
