I had Mirena inserted about two-three weeks ago. I've never been pregnant but my doctor said I could still get it. The insertion was painful but with ibuprofen I could handle it. I got my period a few days ago, however, and the cramping has been intense. I've read that the intensity of the cramping should go away with time, but these cramps have been going on for the past three or four days. I have no desire to go through these cramps again. I'm considering having it removed.
