can i ask you a personal question? you didn't mention your weight. are you overweight? in most cases, type 2 diabetes can be controlled, even eliminated with an extreme change in diet. it's possible to get to a point where you need much less insulin or even no insulin.
you certainly don't need lisinopril for your BP but it is given to diabetics regardless of BP to slow down damage to the kidneys. but paradoxically, it can also cause kidney damage.
if you reduce your diabetes and your insulin, you'll probably be able to stop the lisinopril and then the cough willl go away.
but really, you have to radically change your diet. when they say on those drug commercials "when diet and exercise don't work" they're just talking about minor changes to the standard american diet (SAD). you have to abandon the western diet entirely and eat in a more primitive, ethnic way.
there are counselors and doctors out there who specialize in getting people off insulin. i have 2 friends with diabetes 2 and both eliminated their use of insulin with diet. one has lost about 100 lbs and still has 50 to go. this has helped all areas of his life, not simply his diabetes.
godd luck to you
I agree with propsguy . . . . There are many natural products/alternatives . . . instead of taking drugs that cause side effects. There are nutritionist and naturopathic to help with health issues. Unfortunately, most drs. push drugs . . . that's all they know.
